The 2009 3D-MINTEGRATION Conference will be held on 3 September at Loughborough University.
This major one-day conference, open to industry and the research community, marks the launch of a campaign to place the results of the 3D-MINTEGRATION project into the hands of industry.
To register for the conference, which is free of charge but strictly limited in terms of places, please email the project co-ordinator David Topham

Speakers from the project's 8 top-flight collaborating institutions will present their research findings, but, more than that, the project team will put forward its ground-breaking development of a unique and practical methodology for the assimilation of new technologies by businesses, and the incorporation of these technologies into fresh, competitive, truly innovative products.
The day's programme will include:
The rationale behind 3D-MINTEGRATION - 3D design and manufacture avoiding high capital costs and vulnerable supply chains Starting with design: A methodology for the introduction of manufacturing innovation Integrative processes and process integration Radical miniaturisation technologies Technology demonstrators in 3 applications scenarios, and an invitation to industry
The event will provide a valuable opportunity to get the inside track from the researchers actually involved in the 3D-MINTEGRATION project, which sprang into action as the winner of the EPSRC's UK-wide Grand Challenge competition.
In addition to the technology deliverables now available for industrial exploitation, the project has seeded a growing community of free-thinking researchers ready to assist in the implementation of their achievements, and ready to rise to the challenge of new assignments building upon the strengths gained over the past 4 years.
